Alignment: Should your bowls be outside the effective alignment dimensions you may have the following inconsistencies:
- Not focusing correctly and loosing your aiming point,
- Poor eye, hand aiming point alignment,
- Not seeing your hand in the peripheral vision,
- Poor timing and coordination e.g. pushing the bowl.
Length: Bowls outside the effective dimensions show the following inconsistencies:
- Not focused correctly on the aiming point and loosing it,
- Poor eye, hand aiming point alignment,
- Not seeing your hand in the peripheral vision,
- Pushing the bowl (short back-swing),
- Poor timing in the pendulum action of the delivery arm e.g. it should be the same speed back same speed forward.
Training: Should you be confronted with any of the above inconsistencies consult your coach in relation to:
- Obtaining a video analysis of your delivery action for correction or modification,
- Taking up a training program or reconstructing the one you have.
