On-shots are a low velocity attacking, defensive or recovery shot. Many bowlers miss the opportunity to step into the high performance area because they do not fully understand the tactical purpose of on-shots.
The running shot may not be as spectacular to the bowler or the audience as the drive shot but, when tactically applied, it is more effective in the game.
During the past decade, the application of the drive shot has become an important learning factor behind bowlers advancing to the Zone, State, National or International level of bowls.
